People are noticing the drop in price of many Motorola radios that are still in common use. 1 January 2013 is the deadline for all land mobile users, which includes the railroads, to convert their existing licenses and have converted all their radio systems for 12.5khz bandwidth channels. There has been some chatter on other radio groups about the upcoming narrowband (25khz to 12.5khz) conversion deadline. ![]()
